About me & my work:

I help people and companies give talks that matter. Why? Because I believe everyone has a big idea in them and something important to say. Ideas are energy, but they need words to turn that energy into power. And they need someone to speak those words.

Far too often great ideas die from lack of care or from lack of exposure. We either don't believe in them, or we don't believe in ourselves, and so we never speak them. But from what I've seen, every barrier to a great idea is solvable. And I want to solve them all.

Why? Because I suffered from a lot of them myself, but more importantly, because I've spent so many years (and a million different careers) watching the same thing happen again and again. I've been an exhibition planner at a museum, the head of marketing at a performing arts college, a "fundraising communication strategist" for Harvard Medical School, a non-profit brand strategist, a digital and content marketing strategist at an advertising agency, a messaging consultant ... And for 13 years while I was doing all the rest of that, I was a Weight Watchers leader.

And true story: everything I've ever needed to know about people, change, and speaking to people about change, I learned at Weight Watchers.

I've also overcome 17 years of a panic disorder (which was a fun juggling act in my early days as a speaker and performer), lost 50 pounds (and maintained that loss through 17 years, two kids, divorce and happy remarriage), and accidentally ran the Boston Marathon twice.
