About me & my work:

I'm Paul and I love to dabble in all things. I'm originally from the UK but moved to NZ in the early 2000's then hoped over to Australia.

I'm naturally curious, positive and always building something. Be it something in work from a website for a client, to lights that change colour based on the sentiment of an email, or a home grown arcade machine or outside of work helping new arrivals in Australia get settled and find their feet, to trying to build a motorbike or taking photos of bands, I love creating and building things.

I used to run a product development department in London, specialising in personalised products, I had a lot of fun with 3D printing.

Here I work for an advertising agency, I run the tech side of things, and spread my time between building websites to creating weird tech solutions and inventions.

I am lucky enough to have an amazing wife and doggy, when we are not going on adventures, we planning and getting excited about our first home that we have just bought and all the things we can do to it.

I'm a mentor to new arrivals in Australia, I help them get settled and find work. This is all through the organisation Ames. They're a great organisation, I've moved countries a couple of times so Ames is a perfect fit, which puts me in a good position to mentor. What do I get out of it? Well apart from the enjoyment of helping people, I learn all about them and their culture - it's like travelling without leaving home, I've learnt so much and made some great friends.

I've travelled a lot, seen some amazing places on the planet, and wow met some amazing people. I really believe travelling helps you manage day to day tasks and hurdles really well.

Photography Portfolio | I love band photography, the energy, the pressure of getting something great in the first three songs, being at the front and feeling that excitement of the crowd behind you, the loudness, I love it all!
