About me & my work:

In 2012 I told my family that I was going to quit my career in accounting and that I no longer wanted to fulfil the Asian prophecy (lol). I wanted to spend my life doing what I loved most - Magic.

I figured that the odds of me being alive is nearly 0%, when you think about it if your parents never met you wouldn't be here! If your grandparents never met you wouldn't be here. Heck if a caveman ate a poisonous plant a million years ago that would be the end of your entire bloodline. It literally took millions of years of serendipitous events for you to exist. When you compare how long it took for you to exist in this world to how long you will be alive for it's just mind blowing. Millions of years of serendipitous events v. 95 Years. When you put it all into context we are all only alive for 60 seconds. I wanted to spend my life doing something that I truly loved and was passionate about and this very story that my dad shared with me pushed me over the edge. My father said "I didn't risk my life fleeing the Vietnam War to come to Australia so that you would do something you hate. Son I risked my life to get to Australia to give you an opportunity to do what you love. You have 45 seconds left son, make it count."

Now in 2015 I spend 60% of my time as a keynote speaker sharing the lessons that I have learnt. The difference with me is that when I speak I use magic as my metaphor. 20% of my time is spent running my offline cinematography business, 10% of my time is spend coaching others in presentation, and the other 10% of my time is spent putting on magic shows at Fringe festivals.

I have also built a successful online business that teaches magic to over 41,000 students from all over the world, for which I was named South Australian young entrepreneur of the year in 2013.

Oh there's one more thing, I absolutely love sauce, all kinds of sauce! It's my one weakness in life - sauce.

TEDx Talk - Creating the most influential you | This is my recent TEDx Talk. Most people have seen a magician perform in some way shape or form, but there's one thing you've never seen a magician do. You've never seen a magician practice. In this video I share with you a technique magicians use to practice their presentation skills or showmanship as we call it.
