About me & my work:

My name is Myat Hnin (you can also call me Monica). Many people defines me quite differently, some as social girl, some as conservative and some as weird. I love to write long emo status on my Facebook.

I got my MBA from University of Bolton (UK). My bachelor is from National Management University in Myanmar specializing in Business Management. Born and grew up in Yangon, Myanmar, Before I joined Ooredoo Myanmar, I worked as head of business development in a local Myanmar distribution company for two and half years. In my seven months with Ooredoo Myanmar Limited I am responsible for mWomen and mHealth program working mainly on project management. mWomen program is aiming to transform Myanmar women’s lives through mobile technology. Current Projects under mWomen includes maymay (Mommy) application – Targeting pregnant women which got over 1,900 registered users within 3 months and won Gold prize at Stevie Awards for Asia Pacific 2015 and other international Women in Business awards. My major milestone under mWomen program will be first ever Connected Women Conference on Oct 2014 in Yangon, Myanmar #CWCYGN14. There were 30 local and international prominent female business leaders and community leaders invited as key speakers to share their perspectives on key issues surrounding female empowerment. The objective is to discover the role of Myanmar women in Myanmar’s changing technological landscape. I am also helping out as a mentor for Geek girls Myanmar as well, a community aimed to empower girls in technology.
