About me & my work:

I believe combining global knowledge, design empathy and systems thinking is the key to a more peaceful and sustainable world. Whether creating a business, a service, a product, a curriculum, a brand or a team culture...anything...I strive to applly all three. The goal is to design experiences that inspire and empower people to better themselves and the world around them.

As the Cofounder of Global Opportunity, I've been co-living, co-learning, and co-working in regional innovation hubs. For 3 months in each hub, our multi-skilled cohort of designers, entrepreneurs and consultants has worked on short-term, high-impact and experience-packed projects to scale ideas, launch startups, train entrepreneurs, and enhance collaboration within and across ecosystems.

The first pilot lab was in Santiago, Chile, in partnership with the promotion bureau ProChile. We consulted for the country’s first rewards-based crowdfunding platform and designed and innovation training curriculum to empower SME entrepreneurs in the Pacific Alliance for Mujeres del Pacifico.

The second pilot lab was in Istanbul, Turkey in partnership with Startupbootcamp Istanbul. As in-house mentors, our team developed strategies in branding, growth hacking, UX, sponsorships, pitching and partnerships for startups.

The final lab was in Myanmar in partnership with Ideabox Myanmar powered by Ooredoo. We launched multiple community-building initiatives including 35 Under 35, Creative Mornings, and the Sule Tech coworking space. We also scaled multiple mobile applications focused on digital inclusion in the areas of women’s empowerment, health, and agriculture.

Now we are transitioning from our experimental pilot year as The GO Project in 2014 to Global Opportunity (GO) in 2015, focusing on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as the bedrock of economic growth, job creation, and innovation. The goal is to democratize entrepreneurial potential around the world through our consulting agency by developing, employing and connecting the next generation of trailblazing entrepreneurs, SMEs and cross-cultural innovation communities.

In 2015 we are looking for key stakeholders in emerging innovation communities with tighter budgets looking for increased access to talent, training, funding, collaboration and resource capacity to scale projects, improve startup culture and SME international growth.
