General Thinker Profile
Editor | The Alpine Review
"Trust me, this will take time but there is order here, very faint, very human."
Very good at:
About me & my work:
Magazines! Print media! Broadcast! I make words and print them and speak them and broadcast them and mash them.
I am co-editor at the much loved The Alpine Review, a gorgeous, Montreal-based annual-ish compendium of ideas that has quietly built up a strong following amongst influential thinkers around the globe. I am also executive editor for Totem, an agency dedicated to producing world-class, meaningful and engaging content for commercial clients, both across the usual platforms and those previously undiscovered.
I was a correspondent for Monocle, in Melbourne and Montréal (and still a little bit now in Toronto). I also write for others that have figured out why they still need to exist in this digital age, and who continue to set standards of excellence — for instance the good folks at Smith Journal and Modern Farmer. I was the editor of the rather wonderful Australian independent magazine Dumbo Feather, and I’ve been guest editor for various literary journals and other jams around the world.
My debut theatre work, Prompter, was staged at Arts House in Melbourne in August 2013. I also have a long history of community projects, provocations, collaborations and agitations. I once looked after a supercomputer on the night shift.
