About me & my work:

I've spent much of my working life with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation - on air, producing, managing, selling technology, building online and mobile applications. My strongest interests include the GLAM sector (galleries, libraries, archives and museums), relationship management and communications, high speed networks, and the role and potential of ICT in progressive outcomes for clever communities, education, health, media and entertainment.

I am a juror for the Intelligent Community Forum in New York (ICF) and attend their annual summits, on the management committee of its Australian companion the Australian Smart Communities Association (ASCA), and interested in the development of an Australian version of the BBC's Digital Public Space project. I was the joint recipient of the Australian Recording Industry Association Award for Best Music DVD for my co-production effort on Midnight Oil’s Best of Both Worlds in 2004 and received the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association’s 2007 Outstanding Contribution Award.

I was on the board of the NSW screen development body Metro Screen until its dissolution in 2015, and was a member of the advisory committee of the Federal Enterprise Connect’s Creative Industries Innovation Centre, the Australian Government’s IT Industry Innovation Council and the Queensland Government’s ICT Ministerial Advisory Group..

I'm a member of Museums Australia, the Australian Library and Information Association, the Music Council of Australia, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the Australian Digital Alliance, the Australian Smart Communities Association (ASCA) and the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA), and have contributed to the annual conferences of the Screen Producers Association of Australia from 1999 to 2012 and been an XMediaLab participant and mentor since they began in 2003.

In 2014 I was engaged to work with CSIRO's Australian Centre for Broadband Innovation on a study of the GLAM sector's digital involvements and futures.

Right now I'm working with the local government sector via their group ASCA on a community/city awards program similar to that of the US Intelligent Community Forum, and preparing for the naming of ICF's number one city in June 2016.

I'm also cooking a lot, so my time is full!
