About me & my work:

I am the CEO of TuShare, a company with a vision of helping all items to reach their full lifespan. I was previously Executive Director, Development at Australia's national research agency, CSIRO. I also sit on the Advisory Council of the Australian Bureau of Statistics, am an Australian national commissioner for UNESCO and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

I have also co-chaired the United Nations Environment Programme Youth Advisory Council, was Executive Secretary of the UN Taskforce on Science and Technology for the Millennium Development Goals, and have held board positions with the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology and the National Australia Day Council.

An engineer by training, I received my PhD in innovation theory from the Australian National University and was also a chief systems engineer for FedSat, the first Australian satellite to be launched in 30 years.

I am the co-author of the best-selling book The Sixth Wave: How to Succeed in a Resource Limited World. I am also passionate about science communication and from 2004 to 2011 was a regular panellist on the ABC TV television program The New Inventors.

I live in Sydney with my wife and son.
