About me & my work:

I come from a creative background (fine arts, photography) and fell in backwards to education and have done most things there are to do on the academic side - part and full time faculty, run programs, chaired departments, dean of school, dean of Parsons and now Provost of The New School in New York. I have done a lot of work globally setting up a range of projects, programs, partnerships and schools mostly in China, SE Asia and Europe.

I drive change in institutions and love developing new directions for faculty and students through research, practice, learning and collaboration. I enjoy bringing entrepreneurial spirit to the non-profits. Higher education is undergoing a fascinating and extensive change period which is when I love doing this work the most.
