About me & my work:

I am the Australian correspondent for the world's leading fashion trade journal WWD; have edited Australian fashion industry newspaper Ragtrader; been a gossip columnist for The Sun Herald and the fashion reporter for The Sydney Morning Herald, and I have also worked in mainstream television news and current affairs as a researcher, producer and reporter, working for broadcasters such as Seven Network, Nine Network, the ABC, CNN and Reuters Hong Kong.

I am regular fashion commentator on Australian television and radio. This has included, for the past five years, a fashion business segment on ABC News 24's Weekend Breakfast program (currently the third Sunday of each month at 7.35am Sydney time).

A digital specialist, I have been blogging for a decade. Commencing in 2006 with a blog called Australian Fashion Week at Launched as a popup specifically to cover that year’s Australian Fashion Week, the blog was relaunched in September that year to cover the northern hemisphere Spring/Summer 2007 runway show season under a new name - Fashion Season - and reporting on the ground from New York, London, Milan and Paris. The blog was rebooted again in February 2007 to cover Fall/Winter 2007/2008 from all four cities. It was one of the very first blogs on the international show circuit.

In August 2007 News Corp Australia's approached me to launch its first fashion blog, which I called Fully Chic, setting off the following month to cover a third full international show season, Spring/Summer 2008, from New York, London, Milan and Paris.

Launched on July 4 2008, Frockwriter was my first independent blogging venture and a number of its stories have been picked up by the Australian and international mainstream media - notably a series of stories on Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Malaysia's scandal magnet prime minister Najib Razak, which blew up in the Malaysian media.

Frockwriter was also the first fashion blog to launch a premium subscription model. In February 2012, it became the first blog to partner with the Piano Media-owned content monetisation specialist Journalism Online, which manages online paid subscription services for a myriad of international mainstream media outlets.

Frockwriter has been dubbed "The scandalsheet for fashion’s stitch-and-bitch crowd" by The Australian; "The ultimate go-to for model twitchers" by The Vine; a "Model polymath" by The Fashion Spot – with Najib Razak in fact taking time out of his busy schedule as a true champion of press freedom to describe one of our posts as: "A wildly exaggerated story, deliberately fabricated to affect people's perception of their leaders".
