About me & my work:

My thing is to bring new ideas into the world that do not exist yet, but perhaps should. My work is usually driven by insights of all kinds that my teams and I derive from looking at people's individual and collective behaviour. I experiment and learn from building ideas and testing them with real people. These ideas might be delivered externally as market-facing offers for consumers, or internally often as innovation initiatives within organisations - or both. I am fortunate enough to have built a decent track record of professional success in disruptive, evolutionary, and incremental innovation - through having been a member of some of the world's greatest innovation teams. I am often disenchanted with the present but eternally optimistic about the future, and get the greatest professional joy when a new idea disturbs an unsatisfactory status quo.

Prior to joining studioMEM, I led the Design Research Community in Europe at IDEO, was co-founder of the Design Strategy Group at Continuum in the US, and was Managing Director of Fahrenheit 212's European operations. I began my career at Toyota Design Research. I have led innovation programs with globally diverse clients such as BASF, BMW, Eli Lilly, GE Capital, Herman Miller, Nokia, Novartis, P&G, O2, Renault, Siemens and Timberland. At studioMEM I am responsible for Design Strategy, Innovation and Organisation Design.?
