About me & my work:
I am a business development consultant currently working on major projects for StartupAUS, TEDxSydney and The Chaser Lecture & Dinner. I regularly speak at conferences on sponsorship trends and judge industry awards and see my role as an advocate and a campaigner for a self-sustaining cultural and entrepreneurial sector. My love of the arts and blunt commercial pragmatism helps to translate business for creatives and creativity for business. My hope is for a world where creativity and ideas are valued and can seek a fair price.
I have degrees in art history and business, and a career that has roamed the commercial and not-for-profit landscape, mostly in the arts. After 15 years of Bus dev and marketing roles with arts organisations like Sotheby's, ArtBank, Art Month Sydney, Bundanon Trust and Sydney Festival I set sail on my own business. I have yet to look back, but I regularly say thanks to the AIRbnb fairy for filling the pot holes in the consultants road.
Currently I am a Board Director for Underbelly Arts, National Trust of Australia (NSW) and was until recently a member of the South Coast Tourism Board. I work in Sydney, but live a tree-changers cliche in Berry on the South Coast of NSW with 3 kids, 15 chickens, 5 pigs, 4 horses, a veggie garden always in need of a good weed and an never ending straw bale building project.
